About the job

As a Content Marketing Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand narrative and driving customer engagement here at Earthbond. Your primary responsibility will be to craft and publish content across our platforms that educates, informs, and inspires our target audience on the benefits and savings that solar can provide them and their businesses by:

  • Designing, Writing, Scheduling and Posting various pieces of content, including blog posts, articles, social media posts, videos, newsletters, and white papers—that effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Identifying and proposing key events to connect with our target audience and branding opportunities to build more awareness of the solutions we provide
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and business teams to ensure that all content is aligned with our business goals.

This role requires a focus on connecting with small and medium businesses and understanding where they congregate, a buildable grasp of the solar energy industry, strong writing and digital marketing skills, and the ability to analyze and optimize content performance.

Job responsibilities

  • Produce tri-weekly high-quality content, including blogs, articles, white papers, case studies, infographics, videos, and social media posts that highlight the benefits of solar energy and the company’s products and services
  • Plan, create, and manage content marketing campaigns that align with product launches, industry events, and seasonal trends, ensuring timely and effective execution
  • Develop and maintain a strong social media presence across platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook and engage with customers and industry professionals on a daily basis
  • Identify and leverage the best channels for content distribution, including email newsletters, social media, and third-party publications, to reach the target audience
  • Research, ideate, and prepare materials for target customer and partnership industry events to increase brand awareness and demand generation
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on content performance metrics (e.g., traffic, engagement, conversion rates), using insights to refine content strategies and improve outcomes
  • Create educational content for customers, affiliates, and partners that helps these different audiences understand the value of solar energy and Earthbond as a provider
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify experiential in in-person branding opportunities target
  • Working closely with CEO and leadership to achieve the brand vision for the company

Minimum requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in content creation and marketing, preferably focused on high value products and services for small and medium businesses
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a strong portfolio of content that showcases your ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Proficient in graphic design, video capture and editing, and social media strategies with familiarity with best practices and tools across the web
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics software.
  • Ability to interpret Google Analytics, SEMRush, Google Search Console, and Mixpanel data to make fast and smart decisions to optimize acquisition
  • Proficient using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Capcut, FinalCut Pro, Splice, and/or other tools to create and edit content for publishing across our different platforms

Nice to have

  • Event planning and management as well as experiential marketing experience
  • Familiarity with the solar energy industry, including the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the Nigerian market
  • High awareness of energy usage and costs across different locations and sources
  • Experience building a content marketing playbook from scratch

Work environment: Hybrid / 2-3 Days in office

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Employment type: Milestone-Based Contract-to-hire (3 months minimum)
